It’s pretty obvious I have been completely absent from posting any new content on THE BIXBY LANE for the past month. So what have I been up to you might ask?
Well get ready…majority of that time was spent being sick. Nothing exciting, nor riveting happening there. It turns out I just so happen to be one of the few and very lucky individuals who get about five times more ill than the normal human being. When my fiancé catches the common cold, I basically get pneumonia. Sore throat? Well I will be seeing the doctor the next day for strep throat. It’s nearly been a month and a half and I’m (almost) back to my healthy self! No more chicken noodle soup or saltine crackers in my diet.
The part that stinks about getting sick is it never happens at the “right” time. During our vacation to Seattle and Juneau I caught strep throat and basically slept majority of the time. There was maybe one or two days that I was able to get out for a few hours to walk a few trails and snap some photos. Unfortunately, that was no where close to what we originally planned for this trip. Looks like jet skiing, glacier hikes, and ice caves will have to wait until next time!
Aside from loads of bed rest, I have also been diligently working on some wedding projects. The wedding is officially less than 8 months away and there are quite a few things on my to do list! Some how I’ll need to find time to design and send save the dates, publish our official wedding website, and finalize all the minute details for incoming guests. Thankfully we have already signed and booked all the crucial vendors for our big day! Bit by bit our wedding day is coming together and I can’t wait to share my tips and advice on wedding planning with you all!
